SPC Wyatt Portis of the Iowa Army National Guard and SSG Timothy Hollrah of the Minnesota Army National Guard were first recognized as Class Leaders for Phase I and II, respectively. RTI Commandant CSM Robbie Cantrell presented both Portis and Hollrah with regimental challenge coins on behalf of the RTI commander, COL Christopher Holland. “These coins are always earned, never given,” said Cantrell. Hollrah was also the Distinguished Honor Graduate. SPC Brandon Potter of the South Dakota Army National Guard was the Honor Graduate. The remaining graduates were as follows. SGT Steven Buck, Washington, Army Reserve SPC Kailey Bellville, Oklahoma Army National Guard SGT Jesse Brandt, Missouri Army National Guard SSG James Coffelt, Tennessee Army National Guard SGT Miles Curtis, Hawaii Army National Guard SGT Tyler Envall, Minnesota Army National Guard SFC Grant Evans, South Dakota Army National Guard SGT Xavier Gow, Minnesota, Army Reserve SSG David Jacobs, Texas Army National Guard SGT Caitlin Manzey, South Dakota Army National Guard SPC Logan McMillion, Nevada Army National Guard SPC Gilberto Ortega-Ceniceros, Nevada Army National Guard SGT Humberto Perez, Texas, Army Reserve SSG Robert Pope, Utah Army National Guard SGT Jeffrey Simon, Wisconsin Army National Guard SPC Kyle Vanderweerd, South Dakota Army National Guard SGT Gustavo Vargaslara, Texas Army National Guard MSG Wael Alyasi, the Battalion Operations NCO, and SFC Monterey Herrera, the Course Manager, joined Cantrell in the official party. SFC Nelson Cordova serves as the Chief Instructor. Sergeants 1st Class Adolfo Maes, Eric Regensberg, and John Crespin are the Senior Instructors. Staff Sergeants Leo Aguillon, Jason Guthrie, Timothy Evans, and Eric Rosas are the Instructors. Evans also served as the master of ceremonies. Having completed both phases of the course, the graduates are now fully qualified to assume duties as Motor Transport Operators in their assigned units.
