Intelligence Squadron troop is Spotlight Airman

KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. —

Airman 1st Class Samantha Espinoza, 250th Intelligence Squadron, is the Spotlight Airman of the Month.

Her hometown is Belen, N.M., and she joined the New Mexico Air National Guard for the educational benefits and to travel.

“My five-year outlook is to get more AGR (Active Guard Reserve) and TDY (temporary duty travel) opportunities,” said Espinoza.

She also plans on finishing her Airman Leadership School and her Community College of the Air Force degree. She wants to be a mentor to other Airmen.

For her personal goals, she plans on completing a bachelor’s degree in nursing and starting a family after school.

For Espinoza, the Guard is a family affair. Her grandmother, Master Sgt. Geneva Green, worked in the finance office and retired from the NMANG.
