Treadwell assumes command of the 93rd Brigade (Troop Command)

As Treadwell took the spotlight, he thanked his wife Peggy for her love and support over the years and said he couldn’t be here today without her. “Thank you leadership for granting me this responsibility and entrusting in me with the Soldiers and this unit,” Treadwell said. “I pledge that I will take the challenge that Col. Miera has given me to knock out the metrics that we need to hit and provide the pertinent training for the brigade.” Treadwell also thanked Herrera for leaving the brigade in great shape, being a good friend, and mentoring and guiding him for this mission. “To all the commanders that I have had in my career, you have left a mark on me and I will use what I have learned from each of you to lead this brigade.” Treadwell said. Treadwell also told his father, retired Brig. General George Treadwell, that he was finally able to join him on the wall of 93rd commanders while jokingly reminding the retired general that the younger Treadwell photo was in color. Treadwell said his father was a driving force for him joining the Guard. “Soldiers of the 93rd, I look forward to working with you and leading you into the future and I humbly ask you for your support,” concluded Treadwell. “I look forward to providing you with dynamic, pertinent training and supporting you in overcoming any issues that you may encounter.”]]>
